I just realized something.
I don't think I've ever posted a pic of our little dog, Dakota. She's almost 14 now. She's a Labradoodle and is very sweet. So here is a picture of her.

Yes, I like Patricia Rose very much. It has a very beautiful sound when my hubby calls me by both names.
2. If you could change your name to anything else, what would it be?
My sister's name is Mary. I grew up being called Mary through my entire life. I like Mary. Commmon, but yet pretty.
3) What names would you consider giving your children?
I named all of my children after a family member. So nothing original. 1. Shannon Marie, 2. Christina Renae, and 3. Thomas Joseph. The kids all go by nicknames now. Shay, Chris and TJ.
My favorite name is for a boy, Nicolas James. Girls name is Juliette Joy.
4) If you had a band, what would you name it, and why?
I have no idea about this one. Maybe since I"m partially deaf, I would choose something like Big MOuths or Noisy Nancy's.

My mother was going to name me Sheila and dad said no. He picked Patt after his old dog. LOL HE won and it was Patricia Rose and I love that. I don't care for Sheila, even tho I have a dear friend named this. I usually find something good about every name I read or hear about.

Some sad news
My hubby and I raised two grandchildren. Sam and Vincent. Vincent got married three years ago to a wonderful girl named Haley. They’ve been so happy. Life had been good to them.
Vincent woke up this morning to find his wife had passed away. She was 32. She was so beautiful and full of life. Poor Vincent and their daughter Jayla are in shock. We all are. Jayla was Vincent’s daughter but she raised Jayla for the last nine years. Jayla was so upset. This has been the worst day in Vincent’s life. Please keep them in your prayers.

14. Ironing – yes or no..?
I have an iron and ironing board but I rarely use it. If it’s going out some where, I guess I could touch them up. I’m so bad about being with it. I’m dying to see if a lot of people iron daily.

12. In 1966 Adam West debuted in TV’s Batman. Do you have a favourite actor who has taken on the Batman role on TV or in film?
I basically will watch anything with Batman. But my two faves are Michael Keaton and Ben Afleck. I didn’t care for the dark Batman with Christian Bale. It was too dark.

10. Has anything recently made you laugh out loud?
I recently took part in The Sentinel Secret Santa 2024 and had a blast. This one story was so funny that I ended up reading it 3 times just to cheer me up. I’m putting the link for the story. It’s the Sentinel fandom but I promise it will make you laugh. Check it out.

Anything that has to do with housework gets done when I feel like it. As far as routine, I do clean my kitchen daily, my bathrooms have a designated day and laundry. And that reminds me my stove needs a good cleaning. My god, my life is exciting. Maybe I’ll pick today to clean my bathrooms. And then again maybe not. How is that for a routine? 😂😂

This is an easy one for me. Meeting friends in fandom helped bring me out of my shell. I never talked with people I didn’t know but boy have I changed. Joint different communities has helped me also. I joined Fandom Empire, hi Prisca and found out you can make friends online. Then I joined Snowflake Challenge and off I went. I love the communities and the people you meet. Yes, fandom has certainly changed my life. I’ll stop now. Have a good weekend.

9. On this day in 1969, the first trial flight of Concorde, the supersonic jetliner, took place in Bristol, England. Have you, or anyone you know, been on Concorde?
No I have never been on a Concorde. It sounds quite interesting tho. It cost $10,000. round trip Dallas/London when it first came out. They retired the flights in 2003. Two big corporations are working on bringing one back.

8. Do you tend to text people or phone them and chat?
It depends on how much I would have to type. Usually I call my kids but they all text me during the day and evening. I love texting a ,quick question and not have to worry about texting five times for one question. One thing I don’t like are group texts. They drive me nuts.

Since this is the start of a new year, this challenge will be e to set your own goals! Of course we can all make large or ambitious goals, remember that small and/or short goals are also good! My usual goal is to do fun. Writing things on Dreamwidth. Write one story in Octobers Spook Me challenge. Play at least one or two games on Fandom Empire. I have such fun there. And last but not least get involved with The Sentinel Secret Santa. Most of my goals are for writing but I also like doing artwork for stories. I almost forgot that I signed up as writer and artist for Small Fandom Big Bang. I wrote 2-12,000 word stories and signed up to do someone’s art also. Wish me luck. I think I need it.
As usual I forgot to add something. I’m going to Greece in September and I find myself getting a little nervous. My goal for this is study up on Greece and calm my act down. 😁

7. It’s Nick Cage’s birthday (b. 1964) – have you seen any of his movies?
My two favorites are Con Air and The Rock. But I like almost all of his films. He was in a world war 2 film about the Code-talkers. It was so good and so sad. My dad watched it and said it was true to life. After all he had been through the war. For the life of me I can’t remember the name of it.

6. When was the last time you cleaned/polished your shoes?
I know this is terrible but my hubby has always polished my leather shoes for fancy outings. I wash my sneakers every three months or so in the washing machine. This is a little bit boring tonight but tomorrow is much better. In fact I’m very excited about it.
