It was supposed to be a surprise and Rod called and left a message on the answering machine and Sam was out of school and before I could erase it, she heard that we're going to California. She was so excited. I didn't want her to be thinking about that instead of school work. So, we made a deal, she will do extra homework even before she leaves, to help her stay caught up.
