How my dad is doing.

Just wanted to pop in and tell you how well he's doing on radiation. He had his 24th treatment on Friday, so only 11 more to go. We're hoping for the best results, but you just don't know about these things. He's done really well with the radiation and no side effects other then he's a little more tired every day. He still eats well, they worried about that. He drinks like hes supposed to and he no upset stomach. So he's very grateful and pleased with the results so far. We find out next week, it the mass is shrinking or not. Poor thing, what a thing to have to go through when you're 87, but he didn't want to leave mom alone when he died. (He doesn't realize that the radiation could have killed him. We're just blessed.) He's had a good life and maybe he'll still be around for many years to come. I thank all of you for your prayers and good wishes and thoughts going his way. They always help.

Have a good week.

Hugs, Patt

Thank you, Sheila. I love that icon. Did you take that picture?

I'm so glad, too, Grey. WE had worried so much about the side effects that it never occured to us that he might not get any. That would just be odd. Thank you for the hugs. :)

We're hoping the same thing, Tinn. If he could just get through the next 11 treatments, he'll be set. Hopefully. I'm anxious to hear about the next cat scan they take.

Hugs, back at you.
Patt

Yes - apart from the two Big Bang ones I'm using, pretty well all my icons are my own pictures. The last one is taken just two or three miles from where I live, looking to the west. This one is a photo from about forty years ago. Two of us were right beside the nest, and I got the photo by sitting on my companion's shoulders to get high enough - the nest itself was about five feet high. Just after I took the photo, the eagle flew off.
