Thank you for listening to me ramble.
I burst out laughing and said, "What are you talking about?"
"The Jim and Blair ruler you have from the convention you went to. I need to keep my lines straight and I thought at least they would get out of the drawer for a little while."
Again, I burst out laughing. I forgot I had the ruler from the convention I went to. I looked in the drawer and sure enough, it was there. Kids always know where your stuff is. Whether you want them to or not. :)
I just thought I would share that Sentinel Jim and Blair moment with all of you. She's funny and she loves Jim and Blair.

Twenty years ago, I met all of you. Well, not all of you at once but some of you. Alyjude is the one that talked me into joining in on the fun. Boy am I glad I listened. I've made so many friends. One of the friends, I have become very close to and we travel every year together. Lisa, Duncan's Twin has been the best of friends to me. But all of the people on my flist are what keep me going every week, every day and every year. I used to be lonely and shy, you helped me get over that. I became happy and outgoing all because of you. Thank you for doing that for me. I love my life now.
Love and hugs,

My important moment in fandom was when I was asked to write for the ezine called My Mongoose. No one had ever asked for my work and I was both pleased and excited. I was thrilled also when Lisa, Duncan's Twin asked for help on running the ezine. ANd then I was asked to be co-mod on The Sentinel Big Bang. I stay very busy and love every minute.

( Day 12 )
Now she is reading her book for her upcoming book report. She has learning disabilities, but she's overcoming them quite well. She's still behind, but continues to love reading anyway. Today she is reading Middle School, the Worst Years of My Life. She said it's good so far. She starts middle school next year.
I hope everyone is having a great week. So far ours is super.
In your own space, share your love for a trope, cliché, kink, motif, or theme. (More than one is okay, too.) Tell us about it, tell us why you love it, give us some examples and recs. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I'm going to go with theme. I almost always write stories of The Sentinel with Jim and Blair as an established couple. I also like Blair as a consultant for Major Crimes in my stories. In my older ones, he was still at the university, but my newer ones I changed to established and consultant. I prefer them as a couple because Lord knows the show made them seem like one all the time. Why would they have lived together for so long if not for that reason. I'm a firm believer in slash. I just looked over my page and realized that I love first times too. Especially when they are clueless. The show did it to me. I don't have any kinks, I don't think. I would have to reread all of my stories because I don't remember. LOL I'm going to leave some links to my newer stories if anyone is interested. In the comment section are the new story links that I put. I did this one backwards as usual.
All of my stories are here: http://archiveofourown.org/works/
Send feedback to two fannish people — they can be anyone you want: a writer who’s made you happy, a moderator of your favorite exchange (not us!), a fanartist you avidly follow… There are so many possibilities. Just let someone know you appreciate their work.
I decided to put my two comments or feedback here where they can see them too. My computer is acting up right now, so can't copy and paste. I even did three thank you comments.
1. Where would we be without The Sentinel Big Bang, right? Morgan Briarwood you do a bang up job on this list. You're a great mod and a friend too. You work so hard at getting things perfect for the reveal that you have little time left for yourself. Thank you, Morgan for all you do. I appreciate you. Hugs, Patt
2. Where would we also be without The Sentinel Secret Santa? Ainm you are a wonderful mod and I thank you for everything you do. It makes December fly by and makes me all warm and fuzzy. Hugs, Patt
3. I'm writing an extra thank you for Katef, who isn't on LJ or DW, but she might see this. Kate, you're a wonderful writer and I'm thrilled that I'll be cheerleading for you again. I can't wait to start the new story. Thank you for sending. I will get back with notes as soon as possible. Hugs, Patt
Make a list of a least 3 things that you like about yourself.
First of all, thank God there only have to be three.
1. I like my sense of humor with my friends or without them. I even try to keep a sense of humor with all the real life crap going on. Laughter is music from the heart. :)
2. I like the fact that I'm almost 65 and love to learn new things on the computer. I never said it would be easy. But I like how I try.
3. I like the fact that I still try to create artwork even though the tremors are getting worse. I like that I don't give up.
create a fanwork. Make a drabble, a ficlet, a podfic, or an icon, art or meta or a rec list. Arts and crafts. Draft a critical essay about a particular media. Put together a picspam or a fanmix. Write a review of a Broadway show, a movie, a concert, a poetry reading, a museum trip, a you-should-be-listening-to-this-band essay. Compose some limericks, haikus, free-form poetry, 5-word stories. Document a particular bit of real person canon. Take some pictures. Draw a stick-figure comic. Create something.
